Free

When I turn off all my devices—

then, I am free.

I become light,

untethered,

and unencumbered.

I fly off into the uncharted nights.

There, where no GPS can guide me—

there are no backlit maps or mechanized voices,

and no ‘likes’ to bind me.

My heart beats,

and leaps!

I am like a wild animal,

set free!

I’m escaped from the webs of technology,

let loose from the nets which had bound me—

I’m free!

Free!

Wildly me!
