Gazing Softly

I gaze with interest,

through the window,

holding softly,

what I see.

The mirror reveals,

but only darkly,

which hint of me.

And of a God,

I know but little,

in whose likeness,

I’m called to be.

And of a truth,

only a glimmer,

the smallest part,

which hides in me.
